destiny 2 incidence of light isn’t the biggest expansion in franchise history, nor is it the best, but there’s still a lot of content between them Mediocre campaignthe expansive post-game and all progress towards it maximum power levels.

You probably won’t get everything right the first time, but there are a few things to keep in mind on your first and even subsequent playthroughs. These are five tips I wish I knew before I arrived on Neomuna.

Destiny 2 Lightfall Guide: 5 essential tips I wish I knew before I start

when you come in destiny 2‘s latest expansion as a new player or long-time veteran, you’ll need to catch up on many system, activity, and loot changes. We don’t recommend attempting the legendary campaign without a viable endgame build, but it’s entirely doable solo or with a Fireteam, provided you have the determination (or stubbornness).

Nevertheless, the tips here are worthwhile, regardless of whether you have been playing Destiny 2 for six days or six years.

You only have to complete the legendary campaign once

If you are looking for a challenge for yourself or a strike team, the Legendary is incidence of light Campaign will provide one. It’s particularly unforgiving solo, as many boss encounters have multiple stages and take at least a few minutes to complete.

Your reward for completing the campaign is twofold.

  • First, you can choose between two new exotic armor pieces and a full set of 1770 gear.
    • The exotic armor might seem like the price, but you want the weapons and armor from 1770. Exotics that you can later farm with Legendary and Master Lost Sectors.
  • The free high power gear makes it much easier to level up both your first game character and subsequent characters.

You get a set of 1770 gear, and then level your first character as high as possible. You then transfer your high-level weapons to your second character and watch his armor power skyrocket.

You are free to play the classic difficulty with what you have left. We have instructions with us Changing campaign difficulty if you are wondering.

Wait for the thread subclass to be fully updated

You Unlock the new beach subclass At the end of incidence of light campaign, but you won’t have access to its full potential without significant grinding. You need to collect Beach Meditations to buy all the fragments you need to make Beach the best it can be.

However, there is a catch. If you unlock everything for Strand with a single character, you will no longer receive meditations for that character.

This means you have effectively locked yourself out of a simple source for meditation. We recommend buying all but one or two, depending on what your class does best, and then completing the campaign on Classic difficulty to unlock the additional character subclass.

The Best Vanguard Rep Grind? the night is coming

Newer players will want to stick with Vanguard Ops, but should you be at or around Power Level 1775 you may have a chance in the Nightfall activity on Hero difficulty. Said Nightfall is the best Vanguard rep grind for engram focus, extra gear, upgrade materials and more. Most importantly, you can now level up both the Nightfall and Vanguard Pinnacle rewards at the same time.

You gain faster Vanguard progress in Nightfalls, so you only need three completions instead of five. That’s almost guaranteed Earn 200,000 points also across three completions, giving a second +2 tip without much effort.

Embrace Build Crafting

destiny 2 is harder across the board, especially if you don’t have a lot of gear. Investing in and embracing build crafting is the best and most consistent way to overcome this difficulty. Each subclass – Void, Solar, Arc, Stasis, and Strand – all have viable endgame builds that essentially make you immortal.

Unless they make you invincible, they will likely destroy everything in the room before it can hurt you. Even less optimized setups are usable if you are careful and play smart.

Don’t wait with optional quests

The incidence of light Campaign, especially on Legendary, can be grueling. However, you will come across various side quests and optional activities. We recommend doing this if you come across this, for a number of reasons.

  • First, they are a good break from the incidence of light Campaign monotony and are better written and more entertaining overall.
  • Second, the rewards you get from them will greatly increase the difficulty of the campaign, and they’re not that difficult to complete, which also makes them a nice mechanical break.

We could go on endlessly about little details here and there, but these are five of the biggest tips I wish I’d known the first time I went through them incidence of light. We’ve covered a lot more content about the latest Destiny 2, including how to get the Exotic Catalysts for the Quicksilver StormThe ice curveand how to complete it NODE OVRD AVALON Exotic mission for Vexcalibur.
