Best order to complete main quests in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Departure: Great Sky Island and Lookout Landing

  • Northwest: Hebra/Tulin – I can’t stress this enough: you want to acquire Tulin’s ability early in the campaign. That’s because it can create a gust of wind that propels you as you glide. This is essential for navigation and exploration, especially if you don’t have much of it staying power still. Tulin’s skills certainly helped me a lot at this early stage.
  • Northeast: Eldin/Yunobo — The targets in the Eldin/Mountain of Death area grant you Yunobo’s ability. This is mainly used for breaking boulders, which is great if you don’t want weapons constantly breaking when mining ores you’re trying to mine for more rubies. Additionally, Yunobo’s ability can be used when driving makeshift vehicles, which basically gives you one cannon or projectile.
  • Southwest: Gerudo/Riju — Riju’s ability is mainly used to deal damage, as it can summon an AoE lightning bolt when you hit a target with an arrow. So it would be a good idea to go to Gerudo after Hebra and Eldin.
  • Southeast: Lanayru/Sidon – Last in relation to The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom In main quest order, I recommend keeping the Lanayru region last. Sidon’s ability envelops you in a bubble of water, preventing damage while allowing you to create a water projectile when attacking with a melee weapon. It just pales in comparison to the Sage’s other three abilities.

Tears of the Kingdom endgame quest order: The Master Sword, Hyrule Castle, Fifth Sage, and Hyrule Depths
