There are different places where you can stop Darkest Dungeon 2. From combat encounters to hubs where supplies are available for purchase, Redemption Road is littered with different locations for you to interact with. Here is a list of all location nodes for each region in Darkest Dungeon 2.
In general, regions will appear with different location node modifiers depending on what region it is and how long the map for that region will be. Watchtowers are not guaranteed to appear on a short region map. Creature dens and oases are not guaranteed to spawn at all unless they are the target of the region objective. Each region also has its own modifiers.

The tangle
The forest region, now overgrown and wild. The Tangle has fewer Watchtower, Hoarder, and Field Hospital spawns, but has a higher chance of an Oasis spawn, as well as a guaranteed creature lair.
- Hideout: The General’s Fortress – Where you can meet the dreaming general.
- Assistance Encounter – Decide whether to help for a reward or leave the farmers to their own devices. The only way to repair Stagecoach Wheels or Shields in a region.
- Resistance Encounter: The Forgotten Outpost – Battle against the lost battalion.
- The study of the academic — Obtain special items at the risk of acquiring new quirks, flame reduction, or combat.
- Oblivion’s Wall – Final battle of a region against cultists.
- road danger spot – Arrows rain down on the stagecoach, reducing 1 shield.
- difficult phase – Rough cobblestones and rocks protrude into your cart, reducing 1 wheel.
- street encounter – Unavoidable combat encounter against Looters or Gaunt.
- Flame extinguished ambush — Cultists ambush when your flame is completely extinguished.
- Urgent repairs! – If you come across a bumpy spot without wheels or a road without armor, you will be faced with an urgent repair! combat encounter.
- The field hospital — Restore character health, cure diseases, remove or lock Quirks, or buy healing items.
- The hoarder — Shop a variety of items here.
- watchtower — Visit us to discover all unknown places on the map.
- hero shrine — Discover a hero’s background and unlock more of their abilities.
- The intrusion of oblivion – Combat encounter against cultists.

The shroud
The new home of the fisher people was built along the coast. It has guaranteed watchtower and oasis spawns.

- road danger spot – Tentacles from Below will attack your stagecoach and reduce 1 shield.

- street encounter – Unavoidable combat encounter against Looters or Gaunt.
- Flame extinguished ambush — Cultists ambush when your flame is completely extinguished.

The spread
A ruined city set on fire in response to the cultists’ descent from the mountain. There are no Oasis or Creature Den spawns in the sprawl, as well as fewer Academic’s Cache nodes. While there are more Hoarder and Field Hospital locations, there are also more Resistance encounters.

Cannibalism has taken a mutant turn here. This region is guaranteed to have a creature lair, as well as other academic hideouts and utility encounters. However, there are fewer field hospital and oasis spawns.

- The intrusion of oblivion – Combat encounter against cultists.
- hero shrine — Discover a hero’s background and unlock more of their abilities.
- oasis – Heal a hero’s stress by five or get a battle item with mineral-rich spring water.
- road danger spot – A swarm of flies will attack the stagecoach and reduce 1 shield.
- difficult phase – Rough cobblestones and rocks protrude into your cart, reducing 1 wheel.
- street encounter – Unavoidable combat encounter against Looters or Gaunt.
- Flame extinguished ambush — Cultists ambush when your flame is completely extinguished.

Although the lock is uncharted, there are still encounter nodes in its labyrinth of streets.
