Sometimes you have to make your own luck, and by that we mean bullets. there are six blueprints consistently found dead island 2 This allows you to craft ammo and health kits at any workbench. Here are the locations of all blueprints in DI2.
DIY: All consumable blueprints in Dead Island 2
Your first consumable blueprint will be provided as part of the game’s tutorial right after Bel-Air Brawl. Carlos will call you after you mod your first weapon and let you know that he’s offering you the medkit blueprint for free. You can always buy it from him afterwards.
It’ll be quite a while before you see another blueprint, as it may take quite a while before you get your first weapon. All 5 other available consumable blueprints in dead island 2 are for different types of ammo, so they don’t appear until after the Justifiable Zombicide story quest in Beverly Hills.
The other important consumable in DI2, Fuses, are only commercially available in limited quantities. Given some other crimes against electricity you can commit, alas DI2You can’t figure out how to make a broken junction box yourself.
Once you have a blueprint, you can craft medkits or ammo at any workbench via the Craft menu (below).

- Kai is the chef at the Blue Crab Shack on Venice Beach and
- Dougie is a vendor/bartender at the Serling Hotel on Ocean Avenue.
- Rodriguez is the army officer hiding at the top of the military camp tower on west Venice Beach.
Rodriguez is the hardest to reach. If you make it through her gauntlet of traps and speak to her, she will offer the Cremains of the Day side quest. Completing this will improve Rodriguez’s mood to the point that she is now ready to open the trade with you. It’s worth the effort as Rodriguez also sells some new curveballs.
As a rule, medkits and ammo are plentiful, and whatever you find in the world will eventually respawn. If you just want to stock up, crafting isn’t your most efficient option. Medikits require glue, which is in high demand for many of your best weapon mods, and ammo uses gunpowder, which is one of the less common materials.
On the other hand, when you’re in a tight spot and you’re out of resources, being able to craft a few orbs and a medkit can make all the difference in the world. It’s better to have the option, even if you don’t usually need it. For more details see dead island 2‘s dizzying array of collectibles can be found in our others DI2 Leader.
