master one destiny 2 are mini-boss level enemies with special abilities that make them extra difficult to kill. Barrier Champions regularly erect an impenetrable barrier that requires an anti-barrier weapon to cross. incidence of light We’ve introduced additional anti-barrier methods, and we’re going to cover the best options currently available in the game.
The best anti-barrier weapons in Destiny 2
For our ranking of the best anti-barrier weapons in destiny 2Not only are we considering the current season’s Anti-Champion Artifact mods, but also the various effects that allow other weapon types to stun champions: Volatile Void Effects and Strand Untangling Rounds.
Note that strand suspend effects and stasis freezes also technically bypass an anti-barrier’s defenses by robbing them of the ability to raise their shield in the first case.

Arbalest Linear Fusion Rifle
The premier anti-barrier weapon, the Arbalest Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle breaks through any barrier champion shield in a single shot, no matter how heavy, comes with a healthy supply of ammo, and can also be used as a spare DPS option if You’re running out of ammo on the Heavy.
While Arbalest isn’t as ubiquitous as Witherhoard, if you need something to sever shields, Arbalest is your go-to.
How to get the Arbalest
The only way to get Arbalest is from either Xur or as a random drop from an Exotic Engram.
Wish-Ender Exotic Bow
Arches have always been a niche destiny 2, but the Wishender is one of the best. It’s a solid option for its stopping power, intrinsic anti-barrier properties, and ability to see enemies through walls.
Its slow turn time and general bow make its use always situational, but it can pin down almost any enemy in high difficulty content while still delivering a solid primary DPS.
How to get the Wish-Ender
You must own the Forsaken Pack and complete an exotic quest that will take you through the Shattered Throne Dungeon.
Commemorating the legendary LMG
Commemoration, a craftable drop from the Deep Stone Crypt Raid, was recently relaunched with a new, even more powerful perk pool.
With more ways to activate fugitive rounds these days, most Barrier Champions won’t know what hit them. You’ll need Reconstruction and Killing Tally for best results, but most perk combos will work.
How to get the commemoration
The only way to get a memorial is to play the Deep Stone Crypt and defeat the final boss: Taniks the Abomination. But the effort is worth it.

Eriana’s Vow Exotic hand cannon
Released in Shadowkeep as a Seasonal Exotic, Eraina’s Vow is a powerful hand cannon. While it doesn’t have the utility of Arbalest or even Wishender as a secondary option, it works admirably. With a Solar build boosting it, Eriana’s Vow can still shine.
How to get Eriana’s Vow
You can purchase Eriana’s Vow from the Exotic Archives in the Tower for an Exotic Cipher, 150,000 Glimmer, 250 Legendary Shards, and an Ascendant Shard.
Quicksilver Storm Exotic Auto Rifle
Assuming you have them Catalyst for Quicksilver Stormit is easily one of the best beach elemental weapons in destiny 2.
Combined with the Thread of Propagation Fragment, which gives you Unraveling Rounds for a powerful melee finisher, you have probably the best all-round auto rifle in the game, and also one of the more reliable anti-barrier weapons.
How to get the Quicksilver Storm
Currently, the only way to get the Quicksilver Storm is by purchasing the Lightfall expansion and annual pass bundle, which retails for $100. A steep price, but one you might not mind paying. You get the weapon from Master Rahool in the tower.
Legendary SMG by Funnelweb
Probably the best and easiest to get Void SMG in destiny 2, the Funnelweb has a solid perk pool, a deep 40-round magazine, and is a dream come true for almost any PvE activity. If Anti-Barrier SMG is available as an artifact mod, it’s a top-notch choice.
How to get the funnel web
The Funnelweb is a World Drop, so every Legendary Engram you find while playing has a chance to drop one. Banshee-44 in the Tower sometimes sells it for Legendary Shards as well.

Outbreak Perfected Exotic Pulse Rifle
Always a top choice for everyday content, The Outbreak Perfected was once an endgame DPS option.
Pulse Rifles have been in an odd place for a while, but having the Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle available during a season allows the Outburst to fulfill its old role admirably, while smashing through Barrier champions’ shields in a few bursts.
How to perfect the breakout
Without the Zero Hour exotic mission, the only way to get Outbreak Perfected is through the Red War section of the exotic archive in the tower near the vault.
You have to pay an Exotic Cipher, 150,000 Glimmer, 250 Legendary Shards and 2 Ascendant Shards.
Rufus’s Fury Legendary Auto Rifle
One of the newest weapons in destiny 2the Wrath of Rufus, is a drop from the Root of Nightmares Raid and can also be crafted once you find and decode five Deepsight versions of the weapon.
It has a very deep magazine, some of the best damage perk combos available for Strand right now, and is solid even in PvP.
How do I get Rufus’ Fury?
Rufus’ Fury is only available from the third planetary encounter from the raid, but you can also purchase it from Nezerec’s Reward Scythe for 20 loot once you’ve obtained it.
Legendary SMG from Hero’s Burden
The Hero’s Burden is an Iron Banner exclusive SMG, and while it comes with destabilizing rounds, that’s not the primary reason it’s appearing here. Instead, it’s the gun’s base quality that puts it on our list. It’s no good for Funnelweb, and its updated perk pool is a little less profitable than before, but it’s still a good backup option.
How to get the Hero’s Burden
Whenever Iron Banner week begins destiny 2you can either concentrate Iron Engrams or get them as a random drop at the end of a game.
