Hunter was the first PvP class in destiny 2 for a long time, and with the right builds, it can still be an absolute menace in Crucible. Below we cover the best setups per class to help you figure out what works best for you.
Hunters are masters of super-shutdown, make invisibility a pretty much constant event, and have some of the most annoying abilities in the game, but they’re fun to use. There are, of course, tons of viable builds you could use, but few top-notch options.
Top Hunter Builds for Destiny 2 PvP
Best Hunter PvP Beach Build
In its simplest form is the best Strand Hunter build for PvP is all that gives you Woven Mailso you need the following equipment/fragments:
The desired aspects and fragments are:
- Entangling Slam, Widow’s Silk
- Thread of defence, thread of procreation, thread of continuity
You’ll also want abilities that sync with Grapple, so effects that activate alongside its use (like the Facade that Woven Mail gives) are essential. With your class ability Getting up as often as possible is also helpful. While you should almost always prioritize having 100 resilience and high discipline For grenade recharge rate, any way to get your suspend dive back quickly will help.
Suspend might not have the same effect on Sentinels as it does on other enemy types, but it can still be a major nuisance and give you and your teammates much easier targets to take out.
Best Hunter PvP Stasis Build
If you want to play, a Stasis Fighter Buildyou need the following equipment/fragments:
- The Mask of Bakris This gives you a short-range teleport instead of a standard dodge Increases arc weapon damage, and you can slow or freeze your enemies for even more DPS. It’s an excellent option for mobility and survivability.
- Use the Twilight Field Grenade for area denial and the ability to gain benefits for breaking the stasis crystal it creates with the Winter Aspect’s touch.
- If you don’t have or don’t want to use Bakris, you can double Duskfields with that renewal handles for a more direct gameplay style. Throw a grenade and charge into the field to increase resistance to damage and slower enemies.
- Any Stasis weapon with a tombstone is good for creating additional crystals.
The aspects and fragments to use:
- Touch of Winter, Grim Harvest
- Whisper of Rime, Whisper of Durance, Whisper of Shards, Whisper of Torment.
Which stats you prioritize here depends on what’s central to your build. resilience aside, discipline coupled with grenade charge abilities is great for maximum grenade spam and if you want to dodge, mobility is the game.
Best Hunter PvP Solar Build
There are two schools of thought when it comes to this Solar Hunter builds in PvP: Blade Barrage or Golden Gun.
For a shutdown build you want:
- The Blade Barrage Great.
- Equip Scales of the Star Eater Exotic leg armor and build for some ability to create Orbs of Power easily. This way you can overload your super, gain some back and make it even stronger.
- you could go too Athrys’ embrace for access to a powerful throwing knife and near-on-demand access to the Radiance buff.
- The spine of young Ahamkara makes your Tripmine grenades even more powerful. Whenever an enemy pulls out a Roaming Super, it takes it down with a single barrage. You can also clear entire areas of the map with a well-timed barrage.
- For guns that Parasite Exotic Heavy Grenade Launcher is a good choice, as is a good shotgun, or a Solar Pulse Rifle like the BxR-55 Battler, or a weapon like Vex Mythoclast works wonders.
If you want a more aggressive choice:
- golden weapon paired with Wormhusk Crown And Healing Grenades can help make you an almost immortal force. Add to Caliban’s hand for more powerful explosive knives gives you a second ranged option when your super is not active.
- You want to use the killshot Variant of Golden Gun as you have six shots instead of three and the option to refund shots if you manage a detonation.
For both builds your aspects and fragments should be:
- On your mark, strike them down
- Embers of torches, embers of benevolence, embers of scorching, embers of rays
resilience remains the first statistic to focus on discipline or Strength Your second choice for grenades/melee. You can do without both mobility if you plan on activating Wurmhusk after every engagement, although you won’t make any friends by doing so.
Best Hunter PvP Void Build
Void Hunter builds It’s still very much about maximizing the effectiveness of your stealth, and different Exotics do this in different ways.
- The Graviton forfeits Almost doubles the time you spend invisible and increases your recovery, reload speed, and melee ability regeneration. If you’re looking to sneak around the map for a juicy cross, look no further.
- The sixth coyote the gift of two dodges when your class ability is fully charged can do even more for your invisible shenanigans. When you combine it with Marksman’s dodge and a weapon that reloads slowly or has few high-power projectiles, you can deal much more massive damage than your enemies are expecting.
- You could also go with both all eye or gorgets of the gyrfalconalthough none are as effective as they used to be.
The former makes killing harder when you’re invisible and gives you a second smoke bomb, while the latter grants fugitive rounds when you come out of stealth. Not as immediately useful as it could be, but fun nonetheless.
The desired aspects and fragments are:
- Trapper’s Ambush, stylish executioner
- Echo of Provisioning, Echo of Perseverance, Echo of the Leech, Echo of Hunger
The Shadow shot great is Hunter’s original shutdown option and remains as effective today as it was in the original determination.
Best Hunter PvP Arc Build

How you want to play Arc Hunter builds in PvP depends on a few factors.
- You like non-meta gameplay.
- You like to distract things.
- You like to spread Jolt.
Arc Hunters remain something of a black sheep no matter what you do, and that’s true in PvP these days, too. There are two primary choices for Exotic here.
- The liar’s handshake for the ultimate melee-focused setup that can not only deal massive damage, but inflict a shocking amount of pain on anyone in close proximity to your kill.
- Raiju’s dishes essentially makes you invincible in your Arc Staff Super. It improves your staff’s deflection ability, reduces its cost if you don’t deflect, and completely eliminates the cost if you do.
You’ll also want to have as many ways to shake up your enemies as possible. These open up the possibility of design Ionian Traces for maximum ability regeneration and can clear out entire groups of enemy Guardians with a single kill – or at least deal a lot of damage to everyone nearby.
For Aspects and Fragments you will need:
- Lethal current, flow state
- Shock Spark, Ion Spark, Focus Spark
For these reasons, the only stat you need to invest in is resilience, as there are multiple ways to quickly regain your other skills on Arc. However, discipline is probably the best second stat to focus on as you can get your melee back instantly with a simple Gambler’s Dodge.
Hopefully these general tips will help you create a PvP build for any Hunter subclass destiny 2.
