If you have a weapon with the “Offhand Strike” perk destiny 2, Hipfire should be your preferred fire mode. Typically, Hipfire is something of a weird duck. Most weapons prefer you to aim down the sights for optimal accuracy, with the exception of shotguns, The Last Word Exotic Hand Cannon, and a few other options scattered across the weapon classes. Destiny 2 Offhand Strike Perk Explained
Offhand Strike is all about maximizing your hipfire effectiveness. To activate it, get a single kill with the weapon with the perk. Once activated, it lasts seven seconds and provides the following:
- 30 additional stability.
- A 1.45x buff to damage falloff starting and ending distance stats.
- A tighter precision aiming angle of 3-3.5 degrees.
- A >90% reduction in the Accuracy Cone Size value.
- A >90% reduction in Accuracy Cone Growth stat.
In short, with the Offhand Strike active, your hip fire will be almost laser accurate. While this is useful in PvE for staying mobile while shooting, it’s downright monstrous in PvP with the right weapon. We recommend a sidearm or submachine gun.
How to get Off Hand Strike
Offhand Strike has a timer that updates with every kill you get, so you can technically keep it up indefinitely if you activate it continuously.
The perk is rolled randomlyjust because you have it on one weapon doesn’t mean it’s available on other weapons as well.

There is almost no activity group destiny 2 The doesn’t have a weapon that can roll Offhand Strike, but ideally you want one that’s best used up close and personal. If you can pair the perk with one like Rangefinder or Perpetual Motion, prepare to become every Crucible match’s worst nightmare.
