Destiny 2 Interactive Trailer Recaps Story Leading to Lightfall

The destiny 2 incidence of light The expansion draws closer, less than two weeks before Guardians across Neptune descend to battle the forces of Calus and his master, The Witness. From a narrative point of view, there’s a lot to explore, and you can absorb a lot of it with the latest interactive trailer that’s been released to get people even more excited.

The trailer, narrated by Zavala with contributions from Osiris and Rhulk (the Vow of the Disciple Raid Boss) lasts about two minutes if you don’t interact with it. It’s also peppered with polyhedral icons that you can click on to reveal additional background information about what’s currently on the screen. It all begins with The Witness, a god-like being responsible for the devastation of humanity’s Golden Age and the wiping out of billions of civilizations by the Hive, among their many other atrocities.

The trailer details the misperception of the Guardians of Light and Darkness as moral forces, the return of the Witch Queen Savathun as a Lightbearer from her eponymous expansion, her possession of Osiris after an ill-fated adventure, and more.

Of particular note is Calus, the first raid boss the game has ever seen and a recurring antagonist spanning multiple years and seasons. Once again, he takes center stage as the leader of the forces besieging the Neptunian city of Neomuna, in his new position as the Witness’s youngest disciple.

It’s a solid summary of all the key plot and lore points that led to this point destiny 2, while it doesn’t cover nearly a decade of lore, nor does it touch on most of the pre-Beyond Light content. Thankfully, many of these storylines have recently been broken or aren’t immediately relevant.
