Upgrade weapons in Elder Ring requires Forgestones or Gloomy Forgestones depending on weapon type. You’ll find plenty in the Lands Between, but only enough to fully upgrade a weapon or two of either type. But if you want to know how to buy blacksmith stones or somber blacksmith stones, you need to find bell bearing.
Bell Bearings are key items that you give to this Twin Maiden Husks in the Round Table, which allow you to buy Forge Stones and Gloomy Stones for a small amount of Runes. The cost increases as the stones offer higher and higher upgrade values.
However, don’t expect to find most of the bell camps you need quickly, as even the earliest of them date back a long way Godrick the Grafted or in the rotten hellhole of Caelid. But no fear. This guide will tell you where to find each Forge version.
One note: Lots of NPC traders everywhere Elder Ringlike the wily Patches, Kale or even Rogier or Bernahl, will drop their personal Bell Bearing if and when they die and give you access to their inventory when made available to the Twin Maidens.
Warning: Some lore/critical path spoilers follow.
