FFXIV: Eureka Orthos Unlock Guide

Eureka Orthos is one of them, following in the footsteps of Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High Final Fantasy XIVis challenging deep dungeons. Before you delve into the 100 floors of this random dungeon crawl, you need to figure out how to unlock Eureka Orthos.

How to unlock Eureka Orthos in Final Fantasy XIV

In order to enter Eureka Orthos, you must complete the main scenario quest “Endwalker” and go through floor 50 of the Palace of the Dead.

If you haven’t unlocked the Palace of the Dead yet, you can do so by speaking to Nojiro Marujiro in New Gridania at (X:12, Y:13.1) and accepting the quest titled The House That Death Built.

If you have just accepted the quest, or need to enter the Palace of the Dead at a later date after completing The House That Death Built, you will need to speak to Wood Wailer’s Expeditionary Captain in Quarrymill in the South Shroud (X: 25 , Y: 20.6).

After completing level 50, you can accept the Eureka Orthos unlock quest titled Delve Into Myth with any Disciple of War or Magic class that is level 81 or higher. This quest is given by Koh Rabntah in Mor Dhona (X: 21.8, Y: 8).

Then you can enter Eureka Orthos by speaking to Khatun in Mor Dhona (X:34.8, Y:19). You can also talk to Burnel in Revenant’s Toll (X: 21.8, Y: 8) to travel to Khatun faster.

As with the previous Deep Dungeons, Eureka Orthos gives you two save slots that can be filled with a fixed party or a customized party, with the former meaning you must enter with the same players and classes if you return to the save location at a later date .

Eureka Orthos has 100 floors in total, and you have a set of Aetherpool armor and an Aetherpool weapon to use during the dungeon. You start at level 81, and the experience you gain in the dungeon is separate from the experience you gain outside of it. You also have a unique inventory for your storage space, where you can collect Protomanders so you can use their effects as you progress through the floors.

After level 30 you will get an Orthos Aetherpool Fragment which you can use to trade with the Synthesis Node in Mor Dhona (X:34.9, Y:19). You can also get a weapon from the node by getting the Orthos Aetherpool Grip from the Rage Extinguished side quest. However, if you get the grip, your gear will lose 10 levels in Eureka Orthos.
