With the discontinuation of Allagan Tomestones of Astrology in Final Fantasy XIV With Patch 6.4 it’s time to turn our attention to the Allagan Tombstones of Embarrassment. How to trade tombstones in FFXIV
Allagan Astrology Tombstones can no longer be used to purchase gear and you will no longer receive them as a reward, but you can convert them into Allagan Causality Tombstones.
To exchange your old tombstones, you should first go to Mor Dhona. Go to (X:22,7, Y:6,7) and talk to Auriana, the vendor in the middle of one of the House of Splendors stalls there. Select Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy Exchange and you will receive Allagan Tomestones of Causality.
The exchange rate for these tombstones is not 1:1. I had about 660 Astronomy Stones and got about 160 Causality Stones in the exchange. However, there is currently no use for the Astronomy Tombstones, so obtaining any quantity of Causality Tombstones is more beneficial than holding on to old Tombstones.
It is not clear how long this exchange option will be available for old tomestones. While this isn’t the first type of tomestone to be discontinued, there are currently no exchange options for other discontinued types. So it’s probably better to go to Auriana and trade them in sooner rather than later so you can take advantage of the tombstones you’ve earned.
