How to complete the Shelby Coming Down the Mountain Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 5
The ForzaHorizon 5 Shelby Coming Down the Mountain Treasure Hunt has an initial requirement that acts as a barrier to entry for newcomers. You must own a Shelby-made car to complete it. Unfortunately, there are only two options for Shelbies in the game, and they are quite expensive:
- 1965 Cobra 427 S/C: 2.1 million credits.
- 1965 Cobra Daytona coupe: a whopping 30 million credits.
Assuming you’ve accumulated enough credits to purchase the Cobra 427 S/C, or you’ve been lucky enough to snag one of Wheelspins’ two vehicles, then it’s time to check the clue for the Treasure Hunt Challenge: “It is a beauty to behold; You have to drift sideways to win gold.”

Based on the challenge name and clue, you have to complete a Drift Zone challenge in the mountains. especially the Dear Este Drift Zone in La Gran Caldera (as seen in the picture above).
The score thresholds for this treasure hunt challenge are:
- 50,000 points
- 250,000 pts
- 500,000 pts
That is the good news You only have to achieve a one-star rating (50,000 points) with the Shelby you drive.
When you’re done with that, look for the treasure chest in the middle of the El Estadio Horizon soccer field.
And that’s it; You have completed the ForzaHorizon 5 Shelby Coming Down the Mountain Treasure Hunt Challenge. This earns you +3 Festival Points and +160 Forzathon Points. Be sure to don’t forget to complete the other activities this week, such as Neon Tanks in the Mulege Photo Challenge.
