In another step that many have been wishing for for years, Nintendo has finally added Game Boy and Game Boy Advance Games to its Nintendo Switch online service. While the previous handheld games will be available on Switch Online’s basic subscription, access to Game Boy Advance games will require the Expansion Pack service.
As Nintendo loves to do, these titles are available now on the eShop. Nintendo has truly mastered the art of shadow dropping, and the games available will surely tide people over until the release of Tears of the Kingdom. Both for starters Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX And Zelda: Riding Cap are ready for you to jump in.
Nintendo said fans can also use different filters for the included games, including those for the original Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Color.

Just like the previous NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 apps, more games will be added over time. A look at the eShop shows a lot of what fans can expect. Nintendo hasn’t revealed any information on when these titles will be available yet.

Aside from those titles, Nintendo hasn’t given any hints as to what to expect, but it would make sense to see all of them at some point Super Mario Advance games and the rest of the Wario country Series. Since the libraries for the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance each contain well over 1,000 games, we could see updates for years to come.
