Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2007, GrimGrimoire features real-time strategy mechanics using familiars to destroy waves of enemies and capture enemy bases. The remaster GrimGrimoire OnceMore Released in Japan in 2022, the title will make its way west to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation platforms this year. You don’t have to wait to try it as the demo is available now.
You play as trainee Lillet Blan who works to uncover the mysteries of the Silver Star Tower. Attacked by a powerful sorcerer, you must use Lillet’s powers to defend your schoolmates. You live in a time warp and can repeat the same 5 days as you work to figure out how to defeat the wizard.
Created with people like star ship considering that the original game was unfortunately riddled with control issues typical of console RTS games at the time. GrimGrimoire OnceMore updated the gameplay mechanics and controls. Other additions to the remaster include new grandmaster spells, a skill tree and tactical notebook, as well as a resolution upgrade and screen ratio adjustment.
In the demo is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In it, you play through the first day and part of the second during the first time loop. However, your saved data will be carried over into the main game upon release on April 4, 2023.
