While Hogwarts legacy has been released for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 since February 10th, those who want to play on previous generation consoles will have to wait a little longer. Avalanche Software announced on Twitter that the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be delayed until May 5th. There was no mention of a delay for Nintendo Switch, which is scheduled for July 25th.
Originally set for the same release date as the current-gen consoles, February 10th, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were first pushed back to December 2022. Postponed to April 4th, it seemed like they would be released on schedule. Avalanche Software stated it needed more time to “deliver the best possible performance” and announced a further delay in the release of the previous generation version.

The first edition of Hogwarts legacy was plagued by technical issues such as color errors, characters endlessly falling through the floor, and a frame rate drop. The lag on previous generation consoles could mean that these issues were more difficult to resolve for this version.
