Honkai: Star Rail — How to Complete the Fired Mission

You unlock new missions every few levels Honkai: Starway and one of the last ones you get access to is called “Fired” and takes place on the Xianzhou Luofu ship. You will get access to it after completing Poison Brew, Immortality Brew after speaking to the alchemist Dan Shu. You receive a text message from someone named Xikui about an event you are helping a traffic spotter with. Today we will cover how to complete this simple but interesting mission.

How to complete Fired in Honkai Star Rail

You begin by meeting a man named Tantan by going to the Central Starskiff Haven, which is closest to the Starwatcher Avenue Space Anchor. He will instruct you to take part in a little memory mini-game where you have to watch a group of starships go by and then correctly tell him how many of a certain color were in the group.

The best way to keep things in mind (or at least it worked for me) is to count out loud and mark each passing starship. So every time a blue one crosses, say: “One blue, two blue”, etc.

If you guess correctly once or twice, Tantan will test you again and a light blue starship will zoom by.

Think of the special shade of light blue. You will need it later. First, go to the accident victim, a woman named Mei, and talk to her. She will direct you to get some papers nearby to find a contact number. The first is right next to her. Use Diting to uncover it.

The second part of the contact number is on a hidden note across from Mei near a flower pot.

Talk to Luhui, Mei’s Employer, and then make your way to Luhui itself in the southwest of the area. She decides whether or not to fire Mei, hence the mission title “Fired”. You can treat her relationship with Mei however you like, although kindness tends to go a long way. After you talk to Luhui the first time, Tantan will contact you again, and you will text Luhui again. At this point, return to the scene of the accident.

continuation of the search

Speak to Tantan and you both will begin searching for clues to the pilot and the location of the speeding starship. Talk to Mei and see what she has to say and note the yellow text in her dialogue: This is information about the mission. Mei will say that the starship was either blue or yellow (we know it’s blue). She also says she heard a cracking noise from the engines.

Next, talk to a young woman in an orange top near the bridge and a man in blue near a staircase and what looks like a clothes hanger. The woman in orange doesn’t have good information, but the man in blue says it turned right at the intersection.

To complete this first part of the mission, teleport to the Earthrise Agora Space Anchor, go to the Palace of Astrum, and talk to Xikui. She will show you three images, but the main one to study is the Cycrane at the northeast entrance. The light blue starship is clearly visible in the center of the image.

Picture in hand, walk up to Tantan in the back corner, and when he asks which is the offending starship, reply, “Third from the left.” Don’t worry if you pick the wrong one, as you always will still be forwarded to the next part of the mission, which will take you to the Stargazer Navalia. You should teleport to the ship nursery – The Burgeoning.

Head to the extreme southwestern part of the map to find the obnoxious starship and its owner, who will point some enemies at you. Defeat them, take the pilot into custody and Luhui will contact you again.

What you do next will help her decide what to do with Mei. You can urge her to fire the poor woman or choose to offer support. I decided to support her and Luhui realized that as frustrated as she might be with Mei, they are family. You will learn the outcome of their relationship (based on your choices) in a text message after the daily reset. To complete the storyline, complete the A Simple Life achievement and get five Stellar Jade on top of that.

One of the easier but touching missions in Honkai: Starway, Fired still offers good rewards for little effort. It’s one of the last missions in the game before you reach the Trailblaze Level 34 gate, and a fine task as you keep leveling up.
