How to do Wartale’s Co-op
Your co-op adventure must start from a fresh save, so you’re not taking a friend into your current campaign. You must decide who will take which role in the attacking force and who will take care of the pony. You have your own inventories, but everything else is shared by the group.
From the squad home screen, you can explore the area independently to a certain extent. You have a limited range when it comes to staying away from the others, but you can gather resources or inspect something yourself. Encountering enemies puts you in control of your companion during combat. Since each companion can move during your action, you must decide who moves when and who attacks what.
In the camp it gets a little more complicated.
As in single player, only one companion can be assigned to a camp tool, such as the cooking pot or strategy table. This stays the same in multiplayer. You must work together to decide who does what in the camp and who has what job.
There will also be a chest that anyone can put items in. This will save them, but can be used to trade items and share inventory between the party.

Also, each of you can lead the squad as captain, but only one can get the title. You have to figure out who should be in charge, as well as the other roles as they come up in the game.
Most of multiplayer revolves around communication.
