When the iFruit app was canceled GTA Online‘s list of companion applications in the last year, GTA Players could no longer customize and repurpose their vehicles license plates to their cars and vehicles. But with the Shake Up and Top Marks weekly event, Rockstar Games brought back the mark feature in the form of a new one License Plate Maker. We’ll tell you all about it in our guide below!
How to create custom license plates in GTA 5 Online
The best thing about the new License Plate Creator is that it is completely free and you don’t have to give up your old license plates created in iFruit app. You can actually view and use them in the new application or just create new license plates from scratch.
You can go ahead and create your first license plate in License Plate Creator by following these steps:
- Go to the officer License Plate Maker site.
- Sign in with your Rockstar Games Social Club Credentials.
- Press “Create new plate” button.
- Enter your text to the disk and select Background in the left menu.
- Once this is done, press the “Next” button.
- Select a vehicle from the new menu.
- Confirm with “Place an order” button.
Once this is done, you must accept the new plate order GTA Online. Here’s what you need to do:
- begin GTA Online with your Social Club account.
- Wait a few moments beforehand A message arrives in your accountstating that you can collect your order from Los Santos Customs.
- Take a vehicle that you have previously selected in the License Plate Creator and take it to Los Santos Customs.
- Once you arrive, open the Customs shop menu.
- Press “process order” to assign a new number plate to your vehicle.
If you did everything correctly, your car should have the newly created license plate. In case you are not satisfied with the selected vehicle and want to choose another car with the same plate number, you have to follow the following steps:
- Drive to Los Santos Customs in another car after you have received the message regarding your new license plate.
- Once you arrive, open the Customs shop menu.
- Choose “Adjustment” Menu.
- Go to “plates“Tab.
- Click on the plate you created in the License Plate Creator.
When that’s done, you’ll see that your new license plate has been applied to another car in a similar way. You can repeat this trick with any other of your vehicles as many times as you like.
Note that you can create with the License Plate Creator just like in the past with the iFruit app no more than 30 license plates per account. If you decide to create new disks, you will need to delete some of the old ones to make room. You can also cancel your pending orders by doing the following:
- Go to official License Plate Maker site.
- Sign in with your Rockstar Games Social Club Credentials.
- Go to “Order in progress” Section.
- You can either”Cancel” to delete the order, or “Edit“to change it.
- Confirm with “Yes Cancel,” if you want to cancel, or “process order,” if you want to continue with the edited plate.
