Is Demise in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

On April 13th we received the third and last trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In the new trailer, we take an even closer look at the state of Hyrule as Link tries to save the kingdom and its princess from destruction – and possibly a long-awaited villain.

The trailer features stunning visuals and gameplay features, including some from Links new skills this will come in handy in battle. Footage of the kingdom in peril follows, and viewers are convinced that the arrival of Link’s ultimate enemy, Demise, has been revealed in the footage.

This would be a highlight of the series if the villain returned Tears of the Kingdom. Not to mention it would pose a serious threat to Link and the Kingdom of Hyrule.

Will Demise be in Tears of the Kingdom?

Since dropping a third and climactic trailer for Tears of the Kingdom Yesterday we had a lot of discussion among fans about the inevitable return of Demise, an infamous villain in the Legend of Zelda Franchise.

Nothing will be fully confirmed until the release of Tears of the Kingdom on May 12, but these fan theories are not unfounded. In fact, the hypotheses in which Demise will be included carry a lot of weight Tears of the Kingdomwhich is confirmed by a scene in the gameplay trailer released by Nintendo.

About a minute into the trailer — at 1:18 precisely — we see an unidentified character with fiery red hair and patterned skin, his back to the viewer. When this character wants to face the viewer, the scene ends and moves on to the next shot.

Although the scene only lasted a few seconds, it was more than enough for fans to identify the formidable opponent we are now expecting Tears of the Kingdom: demise.
