The first level of Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is the quiet and cozy Cookie Country. A good starting level with lots of tutorial signs and the least amount of energy orbs compared to other levels like the egg engines. Although this is the first phase, it’s easy to miss some of those pesky orbs, so we’ve got you covered with the locations of each Cookie Country Energy Sphere.
Collecting energy orbs is vital if you want to unlock the full potential of Magolor’s ship, The Lor Starcutter, and complete additional onboard challenges.
Where to find all energy balls in cookie land
As we said in our Egg Engines guide, each phase is in Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe indicates how many energy balls there are when standing in front of the stage door. As you collect orbs, the top left symbols will fill in in the order you should find them. So if you notice that any of the symbols aren’t filled in in the correct order, you’ve probably missed a ball or two.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Energy Orbs Level 1-1

The first energy orb in Cookie Country is easy to find as it’s placed right on the path you need to walk. You don’t have to look far for this one as it’s impossible to miss and the easiest of them all.
Sphere 2-3
The other two energy orbs can be harvested from the Sphere Corruptor mini-boss, which you reach after using the Super Sword ability to destroy the enemies and shiny ground on your way to the exit gate. There will be a large mass of rocks for you to destroy and this will open the star portal.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Energy Spheres Level 1-2

The first energy sphere is on the straight path forward. You’ll want to pick up the crackler cannon shooter and keep carrying it until you spot heavy blocks at the top. Blow them up and jump up to get the orb. The Crackler Cannon has a limited useful life, so it’s best to keep moving before it runs out of ammo

To get the second energy ball, you need to reach the gate at the top of the tree. Go up many ladders and you will find the gate. Pass the gate and there will be a lone energy orb subtly placed like a fruit in the tree to the right.

The third sphere requires the sword skill. Luckily, a sword mini-boss is on the way, so be sure to take his ability with you. Keep going to the right and come across the energy orb blocked by a platform held up by a rope. Use your sword to cut through and drop the platform.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Energy Spheres Levels 1-3

Shortly after the start of the stage, Kirby lands underground. As you go down, you’ll notice the exit gate there, but before you run in, jump down. Below the gate is the first energy sphere.

The second energy sphere is in the crystal caves. At one point, you’ll reach an area where there are moving platforms, just past a locked gate. Behind you can see the trapped sphere. The key is on the other side of the moving platforms, so pick it up and go back to open the door and get the next orb. Be careful when carrying the key. If it gets lost in the abyss, you can’t get this orb.

The last sphere is also locked behind another gate. However, this key is held by an enemy that you will see not long after receiving the second orb. You have to run ahead of him to intercept the enemy with the key before he destroys the key and probably himself. Once you defeat the enemy, grab the key and use it on the locked gate on the right to get the final level 3 energy orb.
Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe Energy Spheres Levels 1-4

Pretty early in stage four of Cookie Country, you’ll find a Spark Enemy with the first ball of energy under it. Just step back a little and drop down. Then go right straight to the ball. You go down a secret path with circular windows and you reach the sphere.

On the way to the next sphere, pick up a horn that protects Kirby from dangers from above. Carry the horn further forward and you’ll come across some huge enemies behind blocks of steel. Press and release the blue switch, then use your horn for protection. Next, jump up and get the energy orb they were above. The horn also has a limited time, so keep moving with this item before it’s no longer useful either.
Sphere 3-4
The last two energy spheres are kept by a Doomer Sphere mini-boss. You acquire the superflame ability and use it to destroy the enemies and shiny objects on your way to the exit gate. Destroy the giant tree on the way to reveal the star portal. Then defeat the miniboss inside to earn the last two orbs in Cookie Country.
