The A Mystic Hero event in Pokemon GO has begun, adding new time and special research to the game. Blanche asks for help to increase knowledge of Pokemon evolution. As the subject evolves, the research requirements can be a bit difficult to complete. Here are all the requirements for both timed and special research in Pokemon GOs A Mystic Hero event.
A Mystic Hero Timed Research Requirements Level 1
Timed research is the easier of the two as it has a time limit. The timed research quests will disappear when the event ends at 20:00 on April 17th, so make sure you complete all three phases by then and claim your rewards.
Completing the first stage of A Mystic Hero’s Time Research is pretty easy. You only want to transfer three Pokemon and only evolve one, since Stage 2 of this timed research requires you to do more of the same.
- Catch 5 Pokemon: Rewards Pokeball x5
- Transfer 3 Pokemon: Rewards Nanab Berry x5
- Evolve 1 Pokemon: Rewards 1,000 Stardust
Tier 1 completion rewards are:
- 1,000 XP
- Rare Candy x2
- 500 Stardust
Timed research requirements level 2
As with phase 1, you only want to evolve three Pokemon since the final phase of this research requires further evolution.
- Catch 10 Pokemon: Rewards Pokeball x5
- Transfer 5 Pokemon: Rewards Razz Berries x5
- Evolve 3 Pokemon: Rewards 3,000 Stardust
Rewards for completing Stage 2 are:
- 2,000 XP
- Rare Candy x2
- 1,000 Stardust
Timed research requirements level 3
- Evolve a Pokemon: Rewards Pinap Berry x10
- Evolve 2 Pokemon: Rewards Pokeball x10
- Evolve 3 Pokemon: Rewards Big Ball x10
- Evolve 4 Pokemon: Rewards Ultra Ball x10
- Evolve 5 Pokemon: Rewards Silver Pinapberry x10
Rewards for completing Stage 3 are:
- 3,000 XP
- Magnetic Bait Module x1
- 2,000 Stardust
A mystical hero special research level 1
Unlike Time Research, once you have access to Special Research it will remain in your log until it is completed. This is useful given some of the later requirements in Stage 3/4 which may take longer than the event lasts.
- catch 15 Pokemon: Rewards Pokeball x10
- Use 10 Pinap Berries to catch Pokemon: Rewards 1,000 Stardust
- Make 10 great throws: Pinap Berry x7
Stage 1 Completion Rewards:
- A Pokémon Encounter (Eevee)
- 1,500 XP
A Mystical Hero Special Research Phase 2/4
- Evolve 5 Pokemon: Rewards Eevee Candy x50
- Use 15 berries to catch Pokemon: Rewards Pokeball x15
- Catch 25 Pokemon: Rewards a Pokémon encounter (Shelmet)
Rewards for completing Phase 2:
- A Pokémon Encounter (Karrablast)
- 2,000 XP
A mystical hero special research phase 3/4
- Make 3 excellent throws: Rewards 5,000 Stardust
- Earn 5 candies when you take your buddy for a walk: Rewards Razz Berry x10
- Evolve 10 Pokemon: Rewards a Pokémon encounter (Inkay)
When you complete stage 3 you will receive:
- The Blanche accessories lapras encounter
- 2,500 XP
A mystical hero special research phase 4/4
Stage 4 differs from the others in that you only need to claim the reward three times to complete it.
- Claim Reward!: Rewards Sinnoh Stone x1
- Claim Reward!: Rewards You become a stone x1
- Claim Reward!: Rewards Ultra Ball x15
Once you’ve claimed all items, you’ll be further rewarded with:
- A Glacial Bait Module
- 2,500 XP
That’s all the requirements for Timed Research and Special Research during A Mystic Hero. This is a great event to complete research as you will be rewarded with four different evolution items.
