PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS turns 6 this month and kicks off the celebration with a new update. In addition to the usual game adjustments Update 22.2 comes with some new items and anniversary items in the game. Here’s a rundown of what’s included when the update goes live on March 14th on PC and March 23rd on consoles.
6 year anniversary celebration
Starting with new environment items added to celebrate PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Birthday, keep an eye on the billboards during a game. Designed in collaboration with street art muralists Tristan Essenthree new billboards appear.

Along with the billboards, a new competition was launched. The 6th Anniversary Embassy Event takes place until March 23rd. Complete a Opinion poll and include any questions you may have for the game team. At the end of the event, 100 participants will be randomly selected to win physically PUBG fan shop. Prizes include a PUBG 6th Anniversary metal poster, postcard and stickers. The winners will be announced on April 7th.
New Care Pack weapon
Introducing the FAMAS, a new weapon included in update 22.2. An assault rifle with single, burst, or full-auto modes available on every map. The FAMAS deal 30 damage per shot and spawn in Care Packages, Secret Rooms, Laboratory Storages, Supply Drops, and Pillar Crates.

Intense battle royale mode
The intense Battle Royale mode, a community favorite, is back through March 31st. Based on the regular Battle Royale mechanics, Intense Battle Royale is a simplified version that allows for faster games. Feel the late game intensity right at the start.
