Where to find the ferry deck key in Redfall?
When you start a new campaign, you spawn in what appears to be the ship’s main cabin. From here you can take the narrow staircase that leads to a lounge area. Here you’ll find a coffee bar along with tons of chairs lined up in front of a TV.
The quickest way to get the key to the ferry deck is to smash one of the large windows under the lounge TV. After jumping over it you’ll find a corpse on the ground with a trail of blood leading down a hatch. Lower the hatch and take the ferry deck key from the hands of the hanging corpse. After grabbing the key, you can unlock the door from the inside to go back to the lounge.
You can now use the Ferry Deck key to open the ship’s exit door pictured below, thus making your way to the first face-up map of the game.
Alternative options for the ferry deck key
The alternative requires a lockpick, which is due to RNG.
If you manage to find a lock pick from any of the corpses or cars you loot during this mission, take the second flight of stairs down from the lounge area. If you’re having trouble finding it, the path is just past the coffee bar.
Once you’re down, you can’t miss the door in question. It’s to the right of the blood spatter wall, in front of one of the submerged trucks. To use the lockpick, hold down the interaction prompt, which is the X button on an Xbox controller, then grab the Ferry Deck key.
However, there is one more option that shows you didn’t even need the Ferry Deck key. All you have to do is smash the large city view windows in the opening cabin space. If you jump over the now-shattered window, you can just take a leisurely stroll to the same exterior of the ship that the ferry deck keys lead to.
