Choosing the right and wrong exclusive upgrades for a Pro difficulty run is like night and day. The amount of pesetas you need to fully upgrade a weapon is a huge investment, as is the alternative chunk of spinels for an exclusive upgrade ticket at the merchant. Your choice of which weapons (or knives) you want to grant an exclusive upgrade to is important.
How to unlock exclusive upgrades in Resident Evil 4 Remake
This is a little obvious and was mentioned briefly above, but we’ll mention it again. There are two (rather three) ways to unlock exclusive upgrades for your weapons RE4:
- Fully upgrade a weapon to unlock its exclusive upgrade slot.
- Purchase an exclusive upgrade ticket from the merchant for 30 spinels.
- Capcom also recently added the ability to purchase exclusive upgrade tickets as microtransactions, so that’s quite something.
Getting 30 Spinels isn’t easy, nor is it easy to get the money together to fully upgrade a weapon to gain access to its exclusive upgrade. The exclusive upgrades themselves don’t come cheap either! You’ll have to spend a pretty penny to finally use even one.
The main benefit of purchasing the exclusive upgrade ticket with Spinels is that you gain access to a weapon’s exclusive upgrade much earlier in the game than you otherwise could. It’s definitely worth the investment, but the ticket might be the best course of action Resident Evil 4 overall easier.
