The Resident Evil 4 make new gives a lot more reason to explore thanks to the different requests you can take on. These side quests can be as simple as shooting Blue medallions to find one Golden Egg. One that’s easy to overlook is that jewel thief Request asking players to find a Scratched Emerald. Thankfully, it’s easy and only requires a tiny bit of backtracking. This is what you need to know to get the Scratched Emerald in the Resident Evil 4 make new.
Where is the jewel thief request?

Jewel Thief is a request only available in Chapter 12. This is the final chapter in the castle section and it starts close to a point of no return so make sure you don’t miss your chance.
Once the chapter starts you will have to go into an elevator that will take you to the guarded room next to the ballroom. Don’t get on the gondola This brings you to the clock tower and the rest of the chapter. Instead, face the wall to the left of the gondola and collect the two requisition notes. One is for The Disgrace of the Salazar Family and the other is for Jewel Thief.
How to find the scratched emerald in Resident Evil 4

The request describes that a crow took the scratched emerald and that they are somewhere in the yard. While this is technically correct, the memorable Courtyard maze isn’t where you need to look. The nest is just past the maze and near the merchant shop in the area. An approximate location for the map is shown above.

Open the gate leading to the ballroom and head back through the Grand Hall and back to the Courtyard. As you approach the maze, you will see a large crow resting on an archway.
Ignore the urge to shoot it and keep moving towards it. The crow will start flying away before going through the maze entrance on the west side.
If you’re reading this after shooting the crow on sight, there’s still hope. Either go back the way you came to briefly exit and re-enter the courtyard, or just keep walking. This thieving bird will respawn.

Move fast enough and you’ll see it land on its nest built above the hallway leading to the merchant’s shop. Don’t worry if you don’t, as the nest is marked with some yellow paint to make it easier to see. Above is a picture showing the exact location of the nest.

Take your weapon of choice and shoot the nest/crow. The nest should break apart and the Scratched Emerald will fall to the ground. Pick it up and go to the nearby merchant to sell it and complete the request.

Filling out the request itself will bring you a net three spinel. In addition, the dealer will pay you 5,000 pesetas when you sell him the jewel.
