The Sonic Origins Plus release date may have been changed by a Korean Rating Boardbut Sega has officially confirmed that the collection is legit and will be released on June 23, 2023 for all platforms.
The original Sonic origins was released last year to mixed reception but was a compilation package containing all Genesis sound games, along with Sonic the Hedgehog CD. The Plus Collection will complement this with 12 Game Gear titles and make Amy Rose playable in every game.
The biggest addition in Sonic Origins Plus is the 12 game gear games out sonic Past. As shown in the trailer above, these games will be:
- Sonic Drift
- sound drift 2
- sound maze
- Sonic chaos
- sonic shock
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble
- Sonic Spinball
- dr Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
- Tails’ Skypatrol
- Tails’ Adventures
While many of these sound familiar, these versions were developed for Sega’s handheld console in the ’90s. Some of them (namely the original Sonic the Hedgehog) had ports to the Sega Master System, but these will be the portable versions of each title. As with the main thing Sonic origins these games will receive additional challenges for players to complete.
In addition to these new games, Amy Rose will finally be playable in Classic as well sound. It will be available in the four games originally included Sonic origins. Knuckles are also added Sound CDrounding out this pack as the most comprehensive version of all these games.
Sonic Origins Plus will be available both physically and digitally when it releases on June 23rd. For those who didn’t purchase the original version, you can get the entire kit and Kaboodle for $39.99. It includes all previously released origins DLC. Those who already own origins will be able to update Plus for $9.99 on their platform of choice. sound origins is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
