You want to add a door to your shelter sons of the forest to limit the number of enemies that will target you at the same time. It doesn’t stop cannibals from invading your shelter, but it does allow you to infiltrate them through certain points to avoid being flanked and attacked. With that in mine, here’s how to build a door to protect yourself.

How to build a door in Sons of the Forest
Apart from the basic walla door might be the easiest craft sons of the forest. After building your floor, stack six logs. You must use at least six logs or you won’t be able to build a roof later. Luckily, an easy solution is to add another log to your wall and cut the right number for your door.

Once your logs are stacked, all you have to do is get out your ax and aim your camera until you see red dotted lines down the middle of a log. Use the primary action key (LMB/RT by default) to cut the trunk.
Continue cutting each log except the top one.

From here you should collect boards and hold them to your future door and add them to the opening in your wall using the guide arrows.

You now have your finished door. To use it, just walk towards it and it will open for you and close behind you.
Cannibals like to sneak up on you and attack you from behind, but a safehouse with limited doors can help you take on one enemy at a time. All you have to do is go inside when they show up to attack and get ready with your gun at the door.
