We already know that chopping down trees results in logs that can be used in a number of crafting recipes and blueprints. But when do trees grow back for more resources?

As long as there’s a tree stump left, it will regrow in about a week of gameplay.

Because of this, you can harvest all the wood you need without worrying about losing your resources as long as you don’t get rid of the stump.

Of course, you’ll probably want to clear an area for building a base, and that can involve removing stumps as the trees are relatively dense in most locations.

But you don’t need to worry too much about making some space for yourself. Just make sure you don’t cut down too many trees and unnecessarily lengthen your journey to get wood in the future.

When playing the game with others multiplayer, the mechanics of tree regrowth don’t actually matter much. That’s because You can duplicate an infinite number of logs using these methods.
