In fact, there’s complete control over which inputs do what, giving you a tremendous amount of freedom in how you play. Here’s how to rebind controls on PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms.
How to edit and bind control inputs in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Luckily, editing and rebinding controls is a breeze on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s what to do.
- Pause the game.
- Tap the gear icon on the top navigation bar.
- Scroll down to “Controllers”.
- Press the right d-pad to highlight Edit Controls.
- Choose this option.
- Then press the right D-Pad to enter the entry list.
From here you can select and reassign individual actions.
- Simply highlight a command and press X (PS5) or A (Xbox) to edit it.
- Then press and hold the button you want to rebind.
Entries are automatically removed their default assignments if they are already taken. A message will appear at the bottom of the screen telling you which keys are currently unassigned.
While Star Wars Jedi Series has some elements from FromSoftware Dark Souls series, the default controls are more like a character action game Spirit of Tsushimawhere the face buttons do general attacks and the shoulder buttons do blocks, parries, etc.
However, it is possible to completely remap and edit controls Star Wars Jedi: Survivor brings the game closer to the feel of the souls series, which makes the combat feel even more inspired by that franchise. It’s good to see the rebinding making a return. For more information see our eat survivors instructions page.
