Chucklefish and Robotality are happy to announce this war groove 2 is currently in development for both Switch and PC. The sequel to the successful indie strategy game war groovethis sequel attempts to expand on the original with new campaign maps, a new setting, and an in-depth editor.
Inspired by Nintendo’s fire sign And pre-wars Series, war groove is a tactical strategy title with an emphasis on commander skills and fun graphics. The original took place in a medieval fantasy world war groove 2 will alternate things with a seafaring pirate adventure.
In addition to new commanders who now have a tiered groove system, war groove 2 launches with three different campaign strands and a cooperative option for each. There will also be PvP multiplayer with local and online options for up to four players. If multiplayer isn’t your thing, a roguelike mode called Conquest will challenge you with unspeakable terror (although that’s mainly because details are mother at the moment).
Last, war groove 2 will be packed with what Chucklefish is calling a “new and improved” map, campaign, and cutscene editor so you can create your own campaigns and share them with friends. The fun never has to end when you can browse and command custom levels online.
