Tekken 8 Lars Alexandersson Gameplay Trailer Showcases “Shocking” Moves

Tekken 8‘s Lars Alexandersson is the subject of Bandai Namco’s latest gameplay trailer for the upcoming fighting game. The developer has constantly introduced experienced characters for the Tekken 8 Roster, with unveiled for king And Marshall lawamong other.

The next featured fighter is Lars Alexandersson. A newbie in Tekken 6, Lars quickly gained popularity and is now considered a mainstay. While its original design was a bit ridiculous, its new look and style here makes it practically brand new.

Most of Lars’ game plan is there Tekken 8 remains the same from previous entries, but added some new flourishes to his Tekken 8 movement set. Lars now has more teleportation attacks and his critical art is quite different from the one in tekke 7. He almost seems to be using the Devil Gene ability, which might come as a surprise to some people.

Lar’s backstory is that he is the illegitimate son of Heihachi Mishima, who was born from an experiment to see if he could successfully pass on the devil gene. Lars, intended to be used as an assassin of sorts, eventually broke free of Heihachi’s control and began to pursue a more righteous path.

Interestingly, this trailer also marks Jack-8’s first appearance in a Tekken 8 Fan. It was a foregone conclusion that Jack would be playable, but it’s nice to see his gameplay here. Lars mops the floor with him, but don’t expect jack players to be wimps.

Tekken 8 will be available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S when it releases. Bandai Namco has yet to announce a definitive release date, with many speculating that it will arrive sometime in late 2023 or sometime in 2024.
