Man it’s a good time to be a Tekken Fan. Namco Bandai has revealed the next member Tekken 8‘s list, and it’s a recurring favorite: Lili, or Emilie De Rochefort if you feel like it. Lili first appeared in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and has appeared in each Tekken game since
Lili is Tekken 8‘s “Fighting Heiress”. She is snobbish and flippant, with superficially good manners, although she often feels superior to other people. Basically, she’s a typical rich kid. She also had something of a one-sided comedic rivalry with Asuka.
Her father is known to be a pacifist, so Lili’s fighting style is self-taught, combining elegant dance moves with gymnastics, so you’ll see her doing lots of kicks and flips around her trailer. We also checked out their cat, Salt, who seems to figure prominently in their introduction and winning sequences.
Lili’s rage art is dance-like, emphasizing a highly choreographed series of attacks as she delivers punch after punch to her ‘partner’ before ending with a backflip that drapes the stage in rose petals.
Lili is the latest character to flesh out Tekken 8‘s entry list and joins those recently announced Leroy And asukaand returning favorites like Jack-8, Jun KazamaAnd Lingxiaoyu.
Tekken 8 scheduled for release in 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Stay tuned for more trailers of new characters and gameplay changes as release approaches.
