There are many ways to have a baby The Sims 4and with the latest Growing Together expansion, there’s the brand new science baby Possibility. However, you might want your Sims to have a little more flavor in their bloodlines. It’s possible to have aliens, werewolves, vampires, and other unique babies provided you take the right steps and have the right extensions installed. In this guide, we’ll go over all the ways to have a baby The Sims 4.
The Sims 4: Every Path to Baby
Standard try for a baby option
Since The Sims 2, the default option for adding a baby to a Sims family was the Try For Baby interaction. If you have two Sims with a high enough relationship on the same lot, you can use the circle wheel to select the Try For Baby option with one by clicking on the desired partner.
You can increase the chances of getting multiples without cheats by purchasing the Fertile Reward with Aspiration Points.
assumption
Another option that was part of The Sims adoption has been around since its inception. Adoption is one of the services available on your Sim’s phone or computer. You’ll find it under “Household” then “Rent Service” for the phone, but for the computer you’ll see an “Adopt” option when you select “Household” so you can skip a step compared to the phone.
science baby
This is the newest way to have a baby The Sims 4. You can choose one or two parents for the baby and create it by going to “Home” on your Sim’s phone and selecting one of the two “Have a Science Baby” options, depending on how many Sims you have in the process want to include.
Compared to a normal pregnancy, Science Babies arrive a few hours after the election, dispensing with the need for pregnancy.

Alien Pregnancy
If a male Sim is abducted by aliens, there is a 25 percent chance that he will return pregnant. While the moods that indicate pregnancy are different than for a female Sim, the stages of pregnancy are generally the same.

In an alien abduction, the baby is a complete alien and not a hybrid. When the baby is born, you have the option to send it back to the homeworld to be raised, effectively ending all ties with the baby.
occult pregnancies
Sim’s 4 now has some supernatural creatures that can also have babies like werewolves and vampires. Having a baby with an occult sim isn’t all that different from having a baby with a human sim. This section covers these three types of occult babies:
- vampire babies
- werewolf babies
- Mermaid Babies
With one human and one occult parent, the child has a 50% chance to be an Occult Sim. As with humans, all you have to do is have a high enough level of intimacy with the occult sim and opt for Try For Baby.
For vampires, attempting to have a baby on a lot with the Dark Ley Line trait increases the likelihood that the baby will be a vampire. If you try to have a baby while in bat form, the form will also be passed to the baby.
Werewolves have a different belly shape for pregnancy and a baby cannot be born in wolf form. If the baby is a werewolf, its characteristics will be visible as a toddler.

Baby mermaids won’t show their powers until they reach the teenage stage of life, but mermaids can transform into humans by eating seaweed.
Mods and cheats for The Sims 4 may add even more options for having babies, but players who only want to use content available from EA will have to rely on a bit of luck, especially when it comes to getting occult babies. For players who want to use mods, we have a list of those The best CC mods for toddlers on our Sim’s 4 guide hub along with content such as a Midlife Crisis Guide.
