The Talos Principle is one of the greatest games of all time, so it was inevitable that there would be a sequel. While Croatian developer Croteam confirmed many years ago that they were working on a sequel to their first-person puzzler, we had no idea when it would ever come out. I suppose a random PlayStation Showcase stream on Wednesday was the best answer.
It’s coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S later this year. The Talos Principle 2 aims to expand on the original game’s puzzle concepts by introducing more realistic environments and the largest world in a Croteam game to date. Despite not being an open world, players will be able to solve puzzles with brand new mechanics and in a semi-nonlinear way.
The action takes place after the main ending of the game and players control the same robot as in the original as he tries to rebuild humanity after a cataclysmic event. You can do this by solving tricky puzzles, interacting with new characters and exploring the ruins of the greatest cities of mankind.
The story is still developing.
