tower of fantasy‘s Lan is the next simulacrum to land in the game when update 2.4 arrives on March 30th. It brings with it a whole host of new stories, along with some other major additions to the game. In a new trailer, we got our first look at Lan, the narrative she’ll be part of, and her powerful fire abilities.
It looks like the fight against the Greyspace entities continues unabated, and the current cast finds themselves in a corner as Lan and an unknown partner emerge from a dimensional gate to blast away most of the enemies.
Lan fights with an umbrella – an odd choice of weapon in a sci-fi world – but she infuses it with the power of fire to blast away anything and everyone in her path.
In the short gameplay segment of the trailer, we see that she is able to drop behind spectral versions of her umbrella called Plumes. Whenever she uses her ability, Lan travels through these feathers in the order they spawned, causing massive explosions and dealing heavy Fire damage to anything nearby.
A fire element simulacrum, Lan comes with Flame Resonance, which increases the power of both her firearms and other firearms by 20%, provided you have two equipped. The problem many Tower of FantasHowever, many players have noted that Frost was the dominant element for a long time, while many of the fire simulacrums underperformed in comparison. That hasn’t stopped players from getting into Fire, and hopefully Lan will give Fire the boost it needs to really compete at the highest level.
Lan will be released on March 30th and her special banner is expected to run for around 20 days. We’ll also likely see a reboot of previously released Fire Simulacra like Cobalt-B and Annabella. For more information on the Tower of Fatnasy, see our guides hub.
