Gothic multiplayer survival game V rising out of Stunlock Studios is set to receive new content in May. In the latest dev blog, Update #18, Stunlock Studios unveiled its first content update. Secrets of Gloomrot features a new biome, new enemies, new spells, and more.

The new Gloomrot biome is a large area that lies between the Silverlight Highlands and the Cursed Forest and is divided into two sections, South and North. With polluted valleys and scorched highlands, each area faces its own unique challenges. Although there are many brilliant people in the area, many are crazy. You can suck the blood of the madmen and learn their knowledge.
This is just the first of three planned updates to future content. More on Gloomrot, the new enemies and V-Boss, weapons and recent area changes will be in the 2nd and 3rd update.

After much player clamor, Stunlock will be introducing castle customizations, multi-level castles, and an overhauled staircase in the Secrets of Gloomrot update. Stairs are also indestructible if your castle is under siege.
Automatic railings will be built into the upper areas to prevent you from falling off the edge of a floor, and new outbuilding structures will be included, as well as color customization options.
With so much freedom of movement, the redesigned castle teleporters are a big help. Smaller pairs of teleporters than anywhere in the world, these can take you from floor to floor in a flash.
Content Creator Program
If you are a member V Rising Content Creator Program gives you the opportunity to sign up for the VIP campaign titled “Conquest of Gloomrot Campaign”. Emails were sent to members with a link to sign up for the campaign. No other details have been given, but we can expect them to be released as the update gets closer.
While there’s no firm date in May when the content will be available, the Dev Update says more information will follow. May is also when V rising turns a year old in Early Access, so we can expect the update to be part of the anniversary celebrations.
