EA Originals and KOEI TECMO have released a new trailer for Wild Hearts Highlighting some of the game’s main NPCs, as well as the players’ home base, the village of Minato in Azuma.
The trailer takes viewers through the village of Minato and explains how the threat of Kemono will once again destroy the land unless someone stops them. .
Potential players are also shown a variety of kemonos, from the powerful to the small, who are battled by a trio of hunters. The beasts of Wild Hearts have merged with nature and mutated, becoming the wrathful Kemono. A mutant rat, a boar, and a giant Kemono-type stone bear feature in the video, with many more waiting for players to discover.
Karakuri devices made of glowing celestial threads aid the hunters in their battles. Upon defeat, the Kemono will drop their Celestial Threads, which can be collected to boost Hunter abilities. Catapults, defensive walls and a hang glider show what the karakuri can weave with the heavenly threads.
Touted as a rival monster hunter, Wild Hearts takes place in feudal Japan and can be played alone or with up to two friends. The game is available for pre-order now, with a full game release on Friday February 17th for PC via the EA App, Steam and Epic Game Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
