How to get and use the Earthwake ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Yiga Set and Yiga Hideout Location

To get that DeadK If you use the Earthwake manual, which unlocks the ability automatically, you will have to infiltrate the Yiga clan. This group of assassins will be a thorn in your side as you explore, but you’ll find a way to fool them into thinking you’re part of the group. To do this, you must purchase this complete yiga armor setconsisting of the Yiga mask, the Yiga armor and the Yiga tights.

Once you have all three pieces, head to the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower. If you use the launch pad and head slightly east, you’ll see a canyon with a well-hidden base. This is the Yiga Hideout. The coordinates are: -3703, -1370, 0331.

How to use the Earthwake ability

Definitely, now that you have that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Earthwake ability, how do you actually use it? Well, first of all, you want to equip your melee weapon. Then just press the Y button.

Instead of a slice or swipe, Link performs a charged wind-up. He then bangs his fist on the ground, creating a shock wave and erupting spikes.

You can keep charging the move by holding the Y button before releasing. This increases the distance of the earth crack before spike eruption. Likewise, this ability only consumes stamina, so you don’t have to worry about weapon degradation.

I personally find it pretty handy to use this when enemies are positioned on cliffs as the action can also knock them back. I was able to quickly get rid of my opponents while in a hurry instead of challenging them.
