How to build a hovercraft in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The first time you’ll need to build a hovercraft is when you’re wandering through the Great Sky Island starting area. On the way to the third shrine you have to cross a flowing river at one point. The nearby constructs inform you about your energy device, which works similar to a battery. It slowly discharges while you are powering a Zonai device.

Definitely for them Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom For hovercrafts, you should use logs, either those that lie on the ground or those that you get from chopping down trees. Attach these side by side with Ultrahand, kinda like this build a boat in the game.

The difference is that you also want to add a Zonai fan to the back. Make sure the “front” of the fan (i.e. the yellow power button) is facing away from the fan itself as that is where the air will come from. You can see how I placed mine in the image below.

Once you’ve built your own device, bring it close to the river bank. Ride it and hit the Zonai Fan to activate it. The wind power takes you to the opposite shore.

But that’s not all. There are other variants of hovercraft, including one that can be found via a Schematic Brick (i.e. Schematic). I found this further in the Depths quest chain after defeating the boss there a second time. The construct rewards the hovercraft blueprint, which consists of a sled, a light, and a fan.

Since you should have the autobuild ability by then, you can build the ship from nearby related materials or from scratch (although missing parts will cost some Zonaite).
