The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gerudo Scimitar and Gerudo Shield are two of the best items during your first few hours in Hyrule. Admittedly, the Scimitar isn’t very good on its own and has low durability, but it’s great for fusing as it adds +10 ATK. Likewise, the shield has 28 base DEF, which is hard to beat. Our guide will show you how to find the Gerudo Saber and the Gerudo Shield Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Where to find the Gerudo Saber and the Gerudo Shield in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

As you can expect from their names, they are DeadK Gerudo Sabers and Gerudo Shield items can be found (surprise surprise!) in the Gerudo region of Hyrule. This area is southwest of Kakariko Village. In the screenshot above, I’ve marked each location with red circles. Here you can find the individual instances in the East Barrens area, Koukopt Plateau and the town of Gerudo.
First Gerudo scimitar and Gerudo shield. Location: East Barrens
At the eastern edge of the Gerudo region you will see a group of 12 specimens Ancient altar ruins commonly known as East Barrens. Here you can find two chests, both of which contain Gerudo items, at the following coordinates:
- Gerudo scimitar (-2473, -3704, -0042)
- Gerudo shield (-2557, -3679, -0044)
Second Gerudo scimitar and shield in TotK: Koukot Plateau
The second location of Gerudo Scimitar is the Koukot Plateau, which is located in the northeastern part of the Gerudo Region and the southeastern part of the Gerudo Highlands. you will find this Koukot Plateau Cave at coordinates -2187, -1849, 0076which contains a chest containing Gerudo Scimitar.
Third Scimitar and Shield of Gerudo. Location: In and near the town of Gerudo
Another easy way to get a Gerduo shield near the town of the same name is to go to the coordinates (-3941, -2935, 0086). However, getting a scimitar in this region is proving to be a bit more difficult.
Wasteland Hammer
If you go to the following coordinates Wasteland Hammer (-3211, -3050, -0039) you will find a sandpit to jump into. This will lead you to some prison cells which also have treasure chests with one inside Gerudo scimitar.
Toruma Dunes: How to Breed Gerudo Scimitar
Toruma Dunes is the area east of Gerudo town and it is dangerous. It is constantly attacked by sandworms called Molduga. I suggest coming prepared with some decent armor, shield and weapon, preferably some Fused for more ATK and DEF.
That’s because you have to fight them for the items you’re looking for. Once defeated, they drop treasure chests that often contain various Gerudo items, including Gerudo scimitar. I found out that you can farm in Molduga chests at the following coordinates Toruma Dunes (-4303, -2824, 0037).
You can summon Molduga by shooting arrows into the ground. Once it emerges from the sand, stun it with arrows and flower bombs, then attack it with any powerful melee weapon to defeat it. I didn’t manage to get a Gerudo Saber or a Gerudo Shield on my first attempts, but returning during the Blood Moon when those creatures respawn proved to do the trick.
That’s all you need to know to install Gerudo Scimitar and Gerudo Shield The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. stay tuned for more DeadK Tips and Tricks article here.
