Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — How to Get Zora Armor Set

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom The Zora armor set is quite unique. For one, it has a cool look to match the water theme of your humanoid shark friends. Another reason is that you can use it to climb waterfalls. Here’s our guide to help you find the ancient Arowana and full Zora armor set DeadK. Since these items are part of quests, this article also includes the following minor spoilers.

How to get the TotK Zora armor set

You will not receive the full Zora armor set DeadK until you make your way to the Lanayru region. Once you reach the capital, Zora’s domain, you will complete the Regional Phenomena main quest line in this location.

Restoration of Zora armor and ancient Arowana location

One of the faster objectives you have in connection with the main quest is called Zora armor restoration. It was given to you by Yona, Prince Sidon’s lover. Yona wants you to find an ancient Arowana, but no further details are revealed.

To find that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom If you need the Ancient Arowana for the Zora Armor, you will need to speak to the Blacksmith Dento, who can be found in the General Store in Zora’s Domain. He says that an ancient Arowana could be found in the Mipha Court. However, if you don’t see it yet, or Dento doesn’t share any information, I suggest advancing the quest further (e.g. meeting King Dorephan or discovering the clues to Heaven).

Return to the Mipha Court (the same place you would meet Prince Sidon for his branch of the main quest). Go to the top of the stairs and you will see a fountain. There you will find an ancient Arowana. Bring it back to Yona and she will be happy to give you the Zora armor. You need to equip this so you can climb waterfalls. This is important because the next part of the quest will take you to the Water Temple.

TotK The Infinite Lecture and the Zora Helm

For the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zora Helm, you must complete The Infinite Lecture. It is a Chroma side quest located near the Zora domain square. However, you will only receive this quest after completing all objectives in the Water Temple. Essentially, you must first complete the regional phenomena in Lanayru/Zora’s Domain.

Once you’ve read The Never-ending Lecture, return to the Floating Scales Island. It’s the same place where you did the Clues to Heaven quest (i.e. the floating fish island in the sky). If you’ve forgotten where it is, you can climb the floating island waterfall east of Mipha Court or glide east from the water temple.

A Token of Friendship and the Zora Greaves

Last but not least, there are the Zora Greaves, which can be found in the Ancient Zora Water Works. We discuss this further in our DeadK A Guide to the Sign of Friendship.

Do everything and that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom The Zora armor set should be yours in no time. Each item has an armor value of +3. As an added benefit, carrying just one of these increases your swimming speed and allows you to scale waterfalls. The complete set itself just looks really cool. I suggest combining it with the Lightscale Trident, the unique weapon you can get in this region. Find out more in our Glory of the Zora/Lightscale Trident Guide.

In any case, the Zora armor set is just one of many full outfits that you can obtain in the game. You can find more tips and walkthroughs on our Zelda: DeadK guides hub.
