There are hundreds of new materials and ingredients The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, many of which have to do with the mysterious Zonai race. Zonai loads are among the most common of these mats. They also have some important uses in your journey through Hyrule. If you’re willing to invest in the game and have a flair for building blocks, a standout can turn the game on its head. This guide will show you how to use Zonai Charges Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom Zonai charges explained

Once you’ve obtained a Zonai Charge by defeating a Zonai Construct or by purchasing it from the Forge in the Great Sky Isle Mining Cave, you have three basic ways to use it: on Device Dispensers, as a pilot fuel, or to charge your power cells.
How gadget dispensers work in Tears of the Kingdom

Device Dispensers are giant gachapon machines that provide Zonai devices. This includes fans, feathers, balloons and dozens of other materials that you can build with Ultrahand. You can find them all over Hyrule.
To use them:
- Go to your inventory.
- Select as many of your Zonai Charges as you like.
- Place them in the basin at the base of the device.
Giving a single charge only rewards a single piece of Zonai Technology. For five charges you get about 15 pieces of technology.
Each Gadget Dispenser can provide four Technology Pieces, and all of these have a utility when attached with Ultrahand, so collect them all.
Fusing and charging with Zonai Charges in Tears of the Kingdom

Zonai charges have two other main uses. They can be used early in the game as backup fuel or to charge your power cell. If you put a Zonai charge on the ground and equip a weapon, you can fuse the charge with it.
For this you only get two additional attacks, but for opponents or bosses that are at the beginning of the game Flux construct 1, that could mean the difference between victory and defeat. You can also attach them to your arrows for extra damage.
Finally, Zonai Charges are essential to actively charging your energy cells. Whenever you use an active piece of Zonai technology, e.g Boats with fans, you use energy from your cell. With a Zonai Charge while using a Fan, rocket, or any other piece of Zonai technology that requires energy, extend the time. It’s not much, and as you acquire more power cells, the amount that refills a standard Zonai charge becomes less valuable, but good in a pinch.
