The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Great Fairy Cotera can add more boons to your armor pieces, but you need to complete a few goals first. Here’s our guide to help you find the sound of a drum for Great Fairy Cotera in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
How to get the sound of a drum for Great Fairy Cotera in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Similar to other Great Fairy side quests, you need to unlock this one Tera’s fountain before the Cotera side quest becomes available. If you meet the requirements, it’s time to find the drummer or the sound of a drum for Great Fairy Cotera Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To give you a general overview, I’ve included a map below showing where your journey will take you:
Dueling peaks stable
Head to the Dueling Peaks Stable in the Necluda region (the closest fast travel point is Eshos Shrine). The coordinates are: 1754, -1952, 0010. Mastro and company won’t have a drummer, so they’re asking you to find one.
Beetz: Honey bee mine
Drummer Beetz can be found in Bonooru’s booth. From Kakariko Village/Makasura Shrine, follow the sloping path southeast through the gorge. Once you get to the end there is an opening that leads to a ridge where Beetz is waiting for you. The coordinates are: 2166, -1389, 0108.
Talk to Beetz and he will ask you for 3 Courser Bee Honey. Tera gave these to me after I completed her quest. If you still have the required items, you’re good to go. If not, you need to get them.
The closest location is the forest north of Kakariko village, which is also near a chasm opening. If you spot one up a tree, be sure to take a picture of it so you can track it with the Purah Pad Sensor+ upgrade. Also, be careful as bees will sting Link and do minimal damage as well.
In any case, hand over the combs to Beetz and this task is already done. You get the sound of a drum for Great Fairy Cotera Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Fix Breezer and meet Great Fairy Cotera in TotK
Upon returning to Dueling Peaks Stable, Mastro will tell you that the bridge is in bad shape. Follow them to the river and talk to Mastro again. This allows you to combine and attach some objects. Here’s what you need to do:
- Lay the wooden board flat on the floor.
- Add two fans on the back (facing out).
- Add a battery and a joystick on top.
- Attach the carriage to the top as well.
Once the troupe boards your makeshift boat, sail downriver to the Cotera Fountain. After the cutscene, you’ll unlock Great Fairy Cotera Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, giving you access to a higher tier of armor upgrades. Don’t forget to unlock the other Great Fairies in the game as well. We discuss these goals in our guides to Great Fairy Mija and the great fairy Kaysa. Likewise, you can learn more mechanics about this huge game in our Zelda: DeadK guides hub.
