How to solve the Gasas shrine puzzle at the right time in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Location of Gasas Shrine
The Gasas Shrine is located in the Tabantha region. Specifically, this is the boundary between the snowy mountains of Hebra and the grassy fields of Hyrule. As a result, it has a darker tint on the map, indicating dusty plains and terrain. The shrine itself is located on the eastern edge of the region (and also in the eastern part of the map). The coordinates are: -4152, 0098, 0040.

TotK Gasa’s Shrine puzzle solution at the right time
The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom The Gasas Shrine Well-Timed Cuts puzzle requires you to cut multiple items hanging from ropes. But you have to make sure you get it right or they’ll fall into the empty darkness below.
For the first part, all you have to do is:
- Shoot the rope to make the block fall down. This is how you can close the gap.
- Move the second block up and closer to the edge. Then place it under you. Once you get to the top, cast Recall so you can reach the ledge.
- Then you will notice two stone planks. Attach them end to end to form a bridge.

This will lead you to an area where two chests are dangling from their respective ropes. You can use the makeshift bridge you just created and place it under each chest. This device catches the chests as they fall.
Alternatively, you can cast Ultrahand on each chest and then pull them towards you. Once you let go, press “Recall” to stop the time. Make sure the chests are still over solid ground or towards you, then shoot them with your arrow. I did that and it worked quite well. I just made the momentum push the chests towards me instead of falling straight into the pit.

The first chest contains a Large Zonai Charge, and the second contains a Small Key. Use the latter to open the door to the final area. There you will see a ball hanging in the air by a rope. Use Ultrahand to pull it toward you or across solid ground as usual. Then release and press “Recall” so you have time to aim and shoot properly.
The ball rolls to the target porthole, which opens the altar. In my case, however, it stopped rolling, so I just carried it and put it in the container.

Both methods will work as the door will open. That’s the end of it Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gasa’s Shrine Well-Timed Cuts puzzle. Since it’s also nearby, you might as well do it too Turakawak Shrine Puzzle. Check out our page for more tips and walkthroughs Zelda: DeadK guides hub.
